SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES OF DOODLE FICTION, MANGA, AND GRAPHIC NOVEL
Literature has had a major impact on culture. It is the human way of entertainment, information dissemination, and cultural preservation. Everyone values it because it retains memories, feelings, wisdom, way of life, and so on. Literature has changed dramatically over time. These literary works have moved from paper to the digital world in the twenty-first century and haven't stopped since. Memes are the most well-known works of literature in today's world. Memes, on the other hand, would not exist without other types of literature.
In lieu of conventional font, the author uses doodle sketches and handwritten graphics in a literary presentation. The story is enhanced by the illustrations, which also have humorous elements that would be absent if the illustrations were not used
Manga is a broad word that refers to a wide range of comic books and graphic novels produced and published in Japan. Japanese manga is almost always black and white, unlike American comic books, which are normally printed in full color. Full-color prints are usually reserved for limited editions.
A graphic novel is a book that contains material from comic books. Despite the fact that the term "novel" usually refers to long narrative works, the term "graphic novel" is used to refer to fiction, non-fiction, and anthologized works. It is distinct from the word "comic book," which is commonly applied to comics periodicals in the United States (see American comic book).
DIFFERENCES IN TERMS OF STRUCTURE
Doodle Fiction-are satirical comedy books aimed at younger children that feature cartoon doodles and handwritten graphics instead of conventional fonts.
Drawings are an integral aspect of the plot; they bring comedy and life to the story, and if the doodles are removed, the book will become duller.
Manga-are similar to graphic novels, except they're produced in Japanese.
Mangas, on the other hand, have a more flowing style than graphic novels, with a choppier feel to them.
Manga is usually in black and white ink, whereas graphic novels are usually in color. This gives them a mysterious and arty feel.
Mangas, as opposed to Graphic Novels, typically have all of the specifics and the “sound effect"
Graphic Novel-are similar to comic books in that they are longer and contain extracts from serialized storylines, whether they are part of a larger series or not.
What distinguishes a graphic novel from a traditional novel is the abundance of text and drawings in comic strip format used to narrate or tell the plot, as well as the use of bubble frames similar to manga to stimulate the reader's mind to be conscious of a story.
SIMILARITIES
•The main similarity between doodle fiction, manga, and graphic novels is that they are all "illustrated narratives," meaning they tell the story with a mixture of pictures/images and text/words.
Doodle fiction is a newer or more recent style popularized by Jeff Kinney's "Diary of a Wimpy Child." Doodle fiction is written in the style of handwritten text with hand-drawn illustrations that add a sense of humor.
DIFFERENCES IN TERMS OF ELEMENT
Doodle Fiction-resemble a conventional novel, but its art and lettering are heavily hand-drawn, while the other two start with hand-drawn art and then use shortcuts like tone and digital editing to finish the job. Though I'm sure Doodle Fiction does it too, American Comics and Manga tend to use them more often, opting for a more polished look.
Manga-is depicted in a highly stylized style and is normally read from left to right, as opposed to right to left in the United States.
Graphic Novel-This can be confusing because graphic novel is often slang for a series of single-issue comics or a longer American-comic-style work.
